It is necessary that wall should be uniformly decorated to give it the color and the look. Another style, I found really attractive was placing a prominent piece of art in centre of the wall and placing complimenting pieces of art in the rest of four corners of the wall, while decorating use the ledge as a base for dividing the wall.
Another method is to divide the wall equally horizontally and put in the decorative items on the ledge, these you can put in according to their heights, modern art in dark glass vases would look good, use dark colored vases 3-4 to place at regular intervals.
It is better that the color of the wall and the color of decorations is in contrasts so that the wall looks striking, my favorite color is white or off-white, both which are flexible and rarely irritating to the eyes. Moreover the color white, is soothing for the soul. White also allows you to change the look as and when you find it necessary.
Dividing wall and spacing the decoration, will give you more space and a lot of clarity, you have a wide choice when it comes to the numbers of decoration items available in the market.
Another great idea is to keep a large fish tank, you will require keeping the ledge wide enough and also having a clear space in the wall, so people can watch the exotic collection of fish from both sides of the wall. Fishes are pets, so you can do this only if you have liking for maintaining a fish tank and you have enough time to give it a regular cleaning.
Lighting on large wall is exceptionally important if you want to make the most of all the investment you have put in decorating this wall, either put in small lights three or four depending on the length of the wall, or just one, if your wall is narrow. Lights require being concentrated on the wall, therefore, lower brightness and higher quality light is a must. Please don’t go cheap on the bulb holders, buy classy and best ones for your wall; these are sure eye-catchers
